Abstract. In this paper, we discuss the existence of solutions for a new class of nonlinear differential equations involving the -Caputo fractional derivative with Dirichlet boundary conditions in Banach spaces. Our approach is based on a new fixed point theorem with respect to Meir-Keeler condensing operators. Two illustrative examples are also given in support of our existence results.
