Abstract. Let (X,G) be a generalized metric space. Let \{G_n\}_{n\in \mathbb{N}} be a sequence of G-metrics on X and let T_{n}: X_{n}\rightarrow X_{n}, where \{X_n\} is a sequence of nonempty subsets of X, be a (\psi,\varphi )-weakly contractive mapping with a fixed point x_n. In this paper, we study the the convergence of \{T_n\} and the convergence of \{x_n\}. Various stability results are established.
