Abstract. The gradient projection method is an efficient iterative method for solving optimization problems. In this paper, we consider finite termination properties of the sequence generated by the gradient projection method in Hilbert spaces. We give estimates on the number of iterations by which the sequence terminates at a solution under mild assumptions.
